Qleyaat Development Project/Rene Mouawad Airport Feasibility Study (2009)

 The specific objectives of this Feasibility Study were to:

• Review of the area socioeconomic characteristics, local and regional aspects, area physical and environmental characteristics, as they may relate to the project development potential.
• Review physical and operational characteristics and constraints which may face the development of both the trade zone and Rene Mouawad Airport.
• Determine projected aviation activity that Rene Mouawad Airport could reasonably expect.
• Conduct research to identify possible market niches for the new civil operational airport.
• Establish the general airport requirements.
• Perform a preliminary cost/benefit analysis (financial feasibility) of the project as a whole.
